2022 is seen as a watershed year for remote work. On a mass scale, people have realized that this model is here to stay. At Motion Software, we’ve always been passionate about remote work. Over the years, we’ve become one of the strongest voices for the adoption of this work model.
Staying true to tradition, we held our annual conference and birthday party on the 29th of September in the heart of Sofia. We named this year’s edition “The Art of Remote”, aiming to show people what the right mindset can do for their lives and organizations.
The Speakers
For this event, we banded together remote work veterans to share best practices with our guests. The list of speakers included our very own Community Manager – Lubomira Stoynova as well as Ellie Koleva – CMO of Quanterall, and Vasil Tuchkov – author, producer, entrepreneur and the creator of IT Remains.
Lubomira Stoynova
Lubomira (we like to call her Lu) is a community manager at Motion Software and a remote work advocate. If you’ve followed us on social media, you would already be aware that she really knows how to take remote work to the next level.
Elisaveta Koleva
Elisaveta is the super talented Chief Marketing Officer of Quanterall. During her talk, she managed to extensively cover topics such as how to embrace the chaos of the current environment and make the best of it. How do we deliver an excellent performance with just one team call per week? Does maximum freedom equal maximum performance?
Vasil Tuchkov
Vasil is an author, producer, entrepreneur, and the creator of IT Remains, a dystopian franchise and Web3 art exhibition. In 2011, he founded Studio Rubik, a creative disruption agency dedicated to generating captivating content and specializing in building brands through viral videos, bespoke design, and guerilla strategies. He shared his vision about the future of work and why he thinks it will be decentralized.
The Party
Following the exciting talks, we were all itching to get the party started. Our wonderful hosts at Kitchen59 made it all smooth and simple. The views, the music, the light rain and the semi-outdoor rooftop all contributed to make this event a night to remember.
This was by far our most exciting birthday as we had plenty to celebrate – joining the Exadel family, introducing a brand new community initiative (called “Motion Outpost”), and winning the gold medal for Best Employer – Remote Team 2022 at the Career Show Awards. Most importantly, we also celebrated having the most vibrant community of remote engineers!
Chin-chin! Thank you all for celebrating with us!
